The Sligo Smart Health and Assistive Tech Hackathon is a high-energy, 36-hour challenge bringing together developers, designers, healthcare professionals, and product managers. Taking place in Sligo, this hackathon challenges participants to build functional software prototypes or hardware models that address accessibility, patient care, and medical record management. The goal is to stimulate innovation in health-tech through intensive collaboration.
Teams are formed at the beginning of the event, followed by continuous coding, designing, and testing phases. Industry mentors from healthcare and software engineering sectors will be available throughout the venue to guide teams through technical roadblocks.
